1. Red fire ants are named appropriately...they really do feel like fire--aaaahh
2. Some microscopic bugs called chiggers itch like CRAZY, but fingernail polish kills them
3. The swimming pool is our 2nd home, it's almost useless to put on make-up
4. Residents don't get paid squat for the hours they put in
5. Our kids will be saying 'yall' in no time. I must hear it 50 times a day. I'm doing my best not to pick it up myself.
Here are a couple pics of swimming with friends. Caleb has the sweet goggles on, which, by the way, have been the key to his swimming success this summer. He can jump off the side and swim back all by himself...yea!!! Huge progress since he wouldn't put his face in 2 months ago. Max is even getting the hang of it. They're constantly saying, "Mom, watch THIS!"

This is up at one of the Anesthesiologist's retreat at a party they had for the new residents. They built this road into their place to block the water and made their own little swimming area from the river. Pretty cool. Joe's takin the kiddos for a ride in the kayak/raft.

Our daily popsicles...I had to add this pick because of Hunter's cool tongue. :) It's like a lizard!

This is the result of the red fire ants on poor little Eden's finger. We had no idea what it was at first. Then I remembered she had been playing in some dirt the day before and started crying...I noticed some ants on her and brushed them off, not knowing what they were. She had several bites on her hands and legs....terrible.

Oh her poor little fingers. I'm glad you're enjoying the pool this nice warm summer. We miss you.
I've heard about those vicious ants! That is so sad! I hope that you guys are getting adjusted:)
I love love love the update. Thanks for all the pictures! I will have to show Isaac in the morning.
Poor Eden:( Hopefully the sores go away quickly. I bet she is getting so big. The boys look so grown up too.
