Comic Relief

I need to document my day yesterday. It started off with Max showing a slight interest in using the potty, so we jumped on it and went full blown into potty training. Of course, being the first day, he was figuring out the whole control issue of the bladder and had SEVERAL misses, including #2. His bladder is amazing. He would go and then wet his pants 5 minutes later. Anyway, that in and of itself took all day of running him to the bathroom and cleaning up. In between there I fed my little baby and gave encouragement from the couch as I watched peepee trickle down the legs and onto the floor. Then someone had to keep the wash going so we wouldn't run out of clothes. And if that wasn't enough, Caleb complained of not feeling well all morning and threw up right after lunch!.......I was either cleaning up peep, poop, spit up, or puke ALL DAY! Bad day to start potty training a stubborn 2-year-old. Although on the positive side, I think he is making some good progress. Fortunately for Mike, he was at the clinic in the morning and missed most of the action. :)

We're a little worried about our Caleb. He got another minor viral bug and it again went straight to his lungs. It seems like every time this happens I get closer and closer to making an ER trip. It happens so fast and he becomes VERY anxious (rightly so when you can't breathe). The oral steroids just take too long to kick in. Anyway, he's breathing better now, but continues to lay around on the couch and just doesn't seem to feel good....definitely not himself. Hopefully he turns around soon.

Oh Boy! What a deal. I don't even dare attempt the potty training yet, and to have the rest of the day go down in shambles, what a woman! The joys of motherhood!

You have a lot more patience than I do. Good luck with the potty training. Hope little Caleb feels better soon!
