Monday again...time for another update. Here are the highlights of the last week:
Mike's team won the v-ball championship at his school. I was a little disappointed I couldn't play this year...my tummy just got a little too big. Watching him play was a major highlight every week for the boys, so we'll have to come up with a replacement. Maybe American Idol??? I have to admit that I'm a sucker for that show, but that's about the only one so I can justify it, right? :)
We enjoyed a fantastic, FREE dinner at Outback Steakhouse for Valentine's Day, thanks to our great credit card company. And thanks to great friends for watching our kids, it was even romantic! I have to say that I loved the waffles, strawberries, and whip cream for breakfast almost as much, though. That has to be one of my favorites.
I didn't enjoy my lovely 6 hour stay in labor and delivery on Friday...aaaaahhhhh. My non-stress test at the clinic showed the baby's baseline heart rate changed and they were concerned. So I had to have "extensive monitoring" at the hospital, which then showed I was contracting. So on came all of the tests, terbutaline, ultrasound, the whole gamet. I finally left around 10:00 at night with everything a-ok...one of those things where I was 99.9% sure I was fine in the first place but the docs always make up for that 0.1% in case anything were wrong. All because of a little tumor on the placenta that no one really knows exactly what it is. Oh well. We're just glad everything is okay.
We had friends over for dinner on Saturday and Sunday...and just as we sat down to eat on Sunday, Max puked all over the floor. Welcome to dinner! He spent the next hour throwing up about 5 times and finally fell asleep early. So far, today he has been fine. He's just not eating yet. Gotta love sick season. Let's hope it doesn't go through the fam...and on to our guests that were here! At least I had dinner on the table and could excuse myself.
I think that about wraps it up for our week!

Wow, Leanna, that sounds like a busy week! I can definitely relate to the hospital stay, terbutaline, etc. NOT FUN! I'm glad everything turned out fine!
Dito to Heidi--Glad everything is fine. I'm so glad for your updates. It doesn't seem like there are many dull moments at the VanDusen home!
The most important thing is that YOU are OK and the baby is fine. I am sure your caused your Mom to have a minor heart attack. Anyway, we love you and as always miss you!
