Mike is done with family practice! Now on to OB...perfect timing. He took a big test last Thursday and then had the rest of the weekend off. So we got to play! We took the boys bowling and I wish I would have had my camera. Max pulled some classic "pouts" where he would walk with his head down, sit at the table with his arms folded and his head laying down with eyes rolled up. At least he was silent about it. :) They actually really enjoyed bowling. The most ironic part was that Mike and I completely switched bowling roles. He usually hates bowling, and I typically get a little better score than him (it must have been the bowling class at Ricks :)). BUT, he started off with THREE strikes in a row and finished with a grand score of 178!! Me, on the other hand, couldn't keep the ball in the middle to save my life. I'm blaming it on the growing fetus and change of center of gravity. :) Eight months pregnant has got to have something to do with it! I even tried a different ball and that didn't help. My total score was 50! The kids even beat me!!
We also checked out the Field Museum downtown on the last "free day" for the season. The kids loved it...lots of dinosaurs, taxidermy...it was quite impressive. Caleb got to bring his friend, Joe with us...it was mostly a boy party! Here are a few pics:

Apparently this is the largest and most complet T-Rex in the world. Her name is Sue :)

This last pic didn't turn out at all...it doesn't give it justice. But you can somewhat tell how gigantic this one was.

Mike and I even got to go on a dinner date and shopping at IKEA with the big purchase of homemade popsicle holders (memories of growing up) and ice cream cones for $1. We were hoping to find a couple bigger finds, but they didn't have what we wanted so we got to save our money. Then we just missed out on a robbery at a Family Video store in our town (where they charge $1 for rentals). There were cop cars all over the place. Apparently the lady even had a gun. If I was desparate for cash and a robber, that's definitely the first place I would go! She probably got a whoppin' $50. Oh dear.
We were able to enjoy one more trip to the temple before the baby comes. And Mike even cleaned our carpet and our hard wood floors! It's amazing what you can accomplish when your husband has a weekend off!!

Yeah!! for a weekend with your hubby. Sounds fun. I'm not sure I would even attempt bowling at 8 months, so 50 sounds great to me! And, did you adopt a little boy at the museum??
I'm glad you missed out on the robbery, Leanna! It looks like a fun weekend:)
